About Us
We strive to develop Parson Russell Terriers that represent the “whole package”. By this we mean we try to bred and raise conformationally correct dogs, while stressing the temperament, focus and drive required for performance. Temperament is crucial to the whole package as it allows a PRT to fit in a new environment and bond well with its humans. Focus is the ability to maintain the attention to command required for obedience, agility, earthdog or hunting. Drive is the PRTs willingness and desire to please its humans and deeply engage in the varying activities. We feel for a PRT to truly be at home, it must be in an environment that enables it to use its focus and drive. Parsons will point out when they feel their focus and drive are undirected.
Pedigree indicates what the animal should be.
Conformation indicates what the animal appears to be.
But performance indicates what the animal actually is.
