PostHeaderIcon Summer Litter!!!

Goodwin Terriers is proud to announce we are planning a litter this summer.  We anticipate pups would be available in late August or September.  David and Linda Dinger are being gracious enough to allow us to breed their gal, Etta (Ch Goodwin's Boogie Woogie Baby). We are still searching for the "perfect" boy for our wee girl.  But we are excited about this litter, as it is our first litter in our second generation.

Naturally Etta and her "perfect" boy will tested for vision problems (juvenile cataracts and lens luxation), deafness, and patellar luxation.  These are the most prevalent disorders in our breed. We are always happy to provide proof my clear tests.

Ttemperament is our primary concern, followed by structure.  We want to be sure that our pups find great homes where they will be trained and loved.  Temperament is a crucial part of that equation.  Etta is a loving girl who is very trainable.  We encourage prospective owners to visit and see our Parsons.

Goodwin Terriers has always said "a well Balanced Dog as a title on both ends". As a result of our belief in versatility and our participation in differing arenas, two of our Parson Russells have earned Versatility titles.  Every Year the PRTAA awards Titles to dogs who have earned points and titles in varying areas of dog acitivites.  This year Archie and Sugar have earned the Versatility Dog Award (VDA) titles.

Thanks to David and Linda's patience in driving from Tennessee to Philadelphia, Etta was exhibited at Montgomery County Kennel Club (the PRTAA National Specialty), this year. Naturally David and Linda had to show their BBE Norfolk Terrier. Due to that conflict we hired a handler to help with Etta. Karan Aurelius, who showed Ch Windrush Notorious (Etta's grandsire's littermate) with great success, was kind enough to step in and show Etta, again with great sucess.
Karan did a wonderful job. Etta's splendid features caught the eye of Judge Paul Ross (of Blencathra fame). Perhaps Etta's great great grandfather, Blencathra Badger, passed down genes that singled her out.  Mr Ross awarded Etta Best of Opposite Sex, a stellar win for a 17 month old pup.
With enormous gratitude, Goodwin Terriers offers our thanks to Mr Ross for his recognition of Etta at MontCo.
Rebecca and I only created the building blocks (out of blocks given to us by Pat and Carol), David and Linda made Etta into the winner last weekend. Excellent Grooming, impeccable training and lots of Love.
Becca and I are exceedingly proud of Etta. We owe it all to David and Linda!!! Thanks Guys...
